Field Studies

Scientists at The Field Museum are working on conservation projects around the globe. Take a look.

  1. Swallow Cliff Woods Forest Preserve is located southwest of Chicago, Illinois, in the Midwest region of North America. At this site Field Museum scientists are studying how this ecosystem responds to restoration efforts.

  2. Tsavo National Park is located in Kenya on the continent of Africa. At this site Field Museum scientists are collecting data about animals that will help the Kenyan Wildlife Service make decisions about preserving biodiversity within the park.

  3. Zábalo, a Cofan community within the Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve, is a small village located in the eastern lowland rainforest of Ecuador, South America. At this site Field Museum scientists are helping the Cofan, a native group, protect and restore local turtle populations.
