The Field Museum also holds tribal objects from Luzon and Mindanao in the Philippines (the largest such collection in the world, including textiles of rare beauty that document the evolution of local artistry), and a small but unique collection of wood, bamboo, and bone pieces from the anthropologically famous cultures of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
