Out of the Mist: Treasures of the Nuu-chah-nulth Chiefs
5 objects 4/1999-8/2001

The Royal British Columbian Museum was able to feature important works of historical and contemporary Nuu-chah-nulth art and culture in Out of the Mist: Treasures of the Nuu-chah-nulth Chiefs. The exhibition was also able to place the objects on display in context with the culture and history of these west-coast people, whose territories lie along the outer coast of Vancouver Island, Canada, and on the Olympic Peninsula, U.S.A. Visitors to the exhibition were introduced to the profound philosophical, spiritual and personal connections that these objects had - and continue to have - with Nuu-chah-nulth communities.
