Artifacts
The Museum curates four sherds from "Level 1" and a dozen faunal remains from "West Room Trench Level 1" at Bull Basin Cave. It is not clear whether these are the same provenience with different levels of detail presented or if they are different proveniences altogether. These provenience designations are repeated on the sherd tabulation sheet found in the archives, so it is seems likely that the distinction is real and meaningful.

Accession and Catalog Files
Artifacts from Bull Basin were not accessioned nor catalogued prior to the Martin Project. Catalog number 318415 was assigned to the sherds from Level 1; 318416 was assigned to the faunal remains from West Room Trench Level 1.
Prospects
Given the paucity of artifactual material from the site, and the absolute lack of documentary information, very little can be done with these materials aside from the obvious technological and typological studies. |
