Assembling the composite photos (continued)
The individual raw image will now appear as a layer in
the B & W plate file [A]. The image has automatically changed from a
color image to a B & W image. The resolution of this image has also
changed automatically from a 72 dpi image to a 350 dpi image when
it was placed onto the blank background plate. The image is also dramatically
reduced in dimension.
- c. To keep track of the different image layers, rename
this new layer (under Layer: options) [B]. (In Photoshop
5.0, when the layer is dragged to the plate, it is automatically given
the same name as it had in its source image file).
- d. Return to the individual image, close it and open
another individual image. Repeat steps 2.a-d for each image you want in
the plate.
