  • Type: "[south Borneo], Pegu, on Bamboo, Dr Kurz (K!, isotypes (2) ex herb. Currey & Cooke"; Laessøe & Spooner 1994: 14).
    This is a member of Astrocystis (Laessøe & Spooner 1994: 10, 14), but according to Ju & Rogers (1996: 285) it is Rosellinia bambusae P. Henn..

  • Type: China, Taiwan, on culms of bamboo, 1899, leg. S. Kusano 289.
    Hennings (l.c.) wrote that E. kusanoi resembles E. bambusina Penzig & Sacc., but has a yellowish stroma and spores without guttules. Rappaz (1987: 444) treated it together with E. bambusina as a synonym of E. hypoxantha (Lév.) Starb., which he referred to as Taxon 2 under Diatrype phaselina (Mont.) Rappaz s. lat.
