From 1910 to 1970, an active program of making plant reproductions was carried on at The Field Museum. The plant model collection contains more than 400 models, constituting the finest collection of its kind in the world.

Artists created these stunning, life-like models to communicate the rich array of our planet's botanical diversity to our visitors.
