| Model of the noble sanchezia, Sanchezia nobilis, created from a specimen collected in Ecuador. This plant was named for Jose Sanchez, a 19th century professor of botany at Cachiz, Spain. The noble sanchezia is a member of the Acanthaceae plant family, which has its greatest diversity in the tropics of Indomalaysia, Africa, Brazil and Central America. |
