What are some good colleges to attend for paleontology?
There currently aren't many schools offering undergraduate degrees in paleontology. Most of our scientists got their undergraduate degree in biology or geology (occasionally archaeology or anthropology) and then went on to concentrate in paleontology in graduate school.

There are numerous excellent schools in the U.S. Geology Department curators currently offer various classes and advise graduate students at the University of Chicago, University of Illinois- Chicago and Northwestern.
Where can I go to find out more about careers in paleontology or closely related fields of biology or geology?
There are many businesses, universities and organizations that hire geologists or promote professional development and careers in geology, biology or paleontology.
The American Geological Institute is a nonprofit organization that has a web site set up for people interested in learning about careers in the geosciences . There is a vast array of useful information on their web pages as well as both a video and a CD-ROM available for purchase for those people who are seriously considering becoming geoscientists.
