The HPCC is intended for researchers that are associated with the Field Museum.
Access to the server is only available at this time from within the Museum's
network. Access from outside can be granted in future.
The HPCC is intended to be used for research purposes only. A suite of
phylogenetic programs is installed (see documentation for more details); if a
program has not been installed that you wish to use, please contact the
HPCC system administrator at hpcc@fieldmuseum.org -- Do not attempt to install
and/or run programs from your home directory without prior authorization.
Users of the HPCC acknowledge that the system is not meant for long term
file storage. At this time, no backup of user data (home directory) is available.
The currently installed RAID 5 disk system provides a high degree of protection
in the event of a disk failure. Neither the HPCC system administrator nor the Field
Museum makes any guarantee of data integrity. Please do not delete or change any
files, folders or access privileges that are not within your home directory folder.
Any violation of these rules will be grounds for immediate account termination.

Disclaimer:

All network connections to the HPCC are logged and monitored. In addition,
a record of all data (files transferred, commands typed, etc.) will be recorded
for security purposes.
