2001 - Lab recieves money for new 3100 sequencer.

In early spring 2001 the Pritzker Lab purchased a new, state-of-the art, automated DNA sequencer, thanks to a financial gift from the Negaunee Foundation and in-kind support from Abbott Laboratories.  The new machine, an ABI 3100 Genetic Analyzer, uses new capillary technology and significantly increases the Pritzker Lab's sequencing capacity.  The Lab's staff and users are extremely grateful to the Negaunee Foundation and Abbott Labs for their generosity.
