Current Research:
- My dissertation research is focused on the phylogeography of East African rodents. I will be examining the genetic diversity of the Lophuromys flavopunctatus species complex in the Albertine Rift region. I am using mtDNA sequence data to investigate relationships within and among the montane and lowland populations of this species. By examining the phylogenetic patterns among these populations I hope to gain insight into the evolutionary history of this very biologically diverse region.
