During my four-months stay at the Field Museum, I collaborated with Dr Jun Wen (Botany) to conduct collaborative research on disjunct plant between east Asian and North American. The main aim of my visit was to gather molecular systematic and biogeographical data of Phryma and Kelloggia.

My research focuses on the origin and evolution of alpine flora and plants, especially in the Hengduan Mountains, Qinghai-Xizang (Tibetian) Plateau and Himalayan regions and disjunct plants between Asian and North American. I have been conducting cytogeographic studies on the Hengduan Mountains, with the study of Tibetia of this area.
