PlayLab: Self-Guided Exploration
(At the Museum, in the Crown Family PlayLab)

Young adventurers, explore the Crown Family PlayLab! Choose from a variety of activities, from prepping and cleaning SUE the T. rex’s bones to grinding corn in a Pueblo. Supports IELS Goals 11, 14, 17, and 18.

Grades: PreK-2nd

Duration: 45 minutes

Availability: Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays; 10am or 11am Year-round

PlayLab: Fossil Prep!
(At the Museum, in the Crown Family PlayLab)

Discover what makes a dinosaur a dinosaur, learn about different fossil types, and help dig out a fossil cast from a field jacket. This program is offered for grades 1-2 only. Supports CCSS.ELA-Literacy.SL.K-2.1-3 and CCSS.Math.Content.K-2.A.1-2.

Grades: 1-2nd

Duration: 45 minutes

Availability: Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays; 10am or 11am October-May 

Fees: $2.50 per student, pre-registration required

Soil Adventure

Explore soils and the critters that play an important role in our underground ecosystem. This student program includes classroom time and a guided visit to the Underground Adventure exhibition. Supports NGSS 2-LS4-1.

Grades: Prek-2nd

Duration: 2 hours (includes 30 min for lunch)

Availability: Mon-Thurs; 10am-12:30pm all year 'round

Fees: $4.50 per student, pre-registration required

Guided Tour of the Pawnee Earth Lodge
(At the Museum, in the Pawnee Earth Lodge)

Learn about traditional Native American Pawnee culture, culture change, and contemporary Pawnee life through a hands-on tour in our Pawnee Earth Lodge. 

Grades: 2nd and up

Duration: 30 minutes

Availability: Mondays-Fridays; 10am, 10:45am, and 11:30am October 6, 2014-May 15, 2015
