A Greener Field - Water

The Field Museum has been making efforts to include native plants for our landscaping for many years. Native plants are acclimated to Chicago’s climate, and thus require much less water than exotic plants. The Museum has also made steps to reduce the usage of bottled water by adding some  high-quality water filters to water fountains in public areas and sinks in staff areas.  Check out our water calculator for more information about water conservation.
