Eastern Arc Map



	Tanzania has many characteristic mountains. Some of these, such as Mt. Kilimanjaro, are the result of volcanic activity. Others, such as the different Eastern Arc mountains, are much older and were created by uplifting and lowering associated with geological faultlines. Various Eastern Arc Mountain ranges are shown in white, and some volcanic mountains are shown in green.
