Kenwood and Oakland:
Projects 2004 Landuse Map
There are a number of borders that define the area. Residents generally agree that North Kenwood/Oakland is bounded by 39th on the north, 47th Street on the south, Cottage Grove Avenue to the west and the Metra tracks or Lake Michigan to the east. The University of Chicago police recently extended their patrol area to include these communities. Different boundaries are delineated by political, public service and economic purposes.
