Digital Images of Yale’s Vast Cultural Collections Now Available for Free

The vast natural and cultural history collections housed in institutions across the world are increasingly being made freely available digitally. These vitally important assets are important not only for aesthic reasons but also because of the clues they give to scientists working in fields as varied as genetics, conservation and history.

The Field Museum is one of many insitutions that are slowly making collections available in this way. Yale is the latest to adopt a free and open policy for it's digital collections.
