Skokie Lagoons is a forest preserve along the Chicago River in the northern suburbs. It is a large forest preserve with forest, fields, river, and lagoons. It is excellent for birding year-round, with more than 210 species having been recorded there. These trips are led by Dave Willard and are co-sponsored by the Chicago Audubon Society.
