Learning in the Field: Planning for Focused Field Trips

Nothing can enhance your curriculum and get students excited about learning like a field trip! Making connections between classroom objectives and real world experiences creates authentic and memorable learning opportunities. Explore the Focused Field Trip framework and practice creating cohesive field trip experiences that integrate seamlessly with your classroom curriculum. Collaborate and reflect on pre, during, and post trip activities that maximize both content area learning and student inquiry skills. Appropriate for all grade levels and content areas.

Join us on Saturdays during the academic year for professional development workshops focusing on promoting inquiry by using real artifacts and specimens in the classroom!  Registration is now open for Spring 2018.
