Summer Late Night: Base Camp

$45 Buy Tickets
Base Camp at The Field Museum

On September 5th, the entire Field Museum is open until 9pm! We've created Base Camp, a pop up bar with new theme each month, where adults can congregate as they explore The Museum. September's Base Camp theme is Caves.

Go spelunking with The Field! We're turning out the lights and bringing our scientists out to chat about early human life in caves, how stalactites and stalagmites are formed, digging for mastodons, and more! Post up against a rock in the Base Camp Cave, grab a drink, and learn what it’s like underground.

Tickets, which include an All-Access Pass to The Museum, snacks, and a specialty Field Notes notebook, are $45, $13 for members (members interested in purchasing tickets ahead of time can call 312 665 7700 during regular business hours). Guests to Base Camp must be 21 or older.

Please note that admission to Jurassic World: The Exhibition is not included with your Base Camp ticket, but can be added upon arrival (availability permitting).

The event space is accessible to wheelchair-users and visitors who need to avoid stairs. For further accessibility information or to request additional accommodations, please contact us at least 2 weeks in advance by email at ncruickshank@fieldmuseum.org or by calling Noah Cruickshank at 312-665-7122.

Entrance: Use accessible entrance on east side of the Museum.

Public Transportation: The Field Museum is located on Chicago's Museum Campus. The #146 bus serves the museum campus.
