Free Admission Days

On Free Admission Days, basic admission is free for Illinois residents with valid proof of residency.* See ticketed exhibitions and 3D films at a special price: choose a Discovery Pass and see one special exhibition or 3D film, or see it all with an All-Access Pass! Those who qualify for state food assistance can visit at a discounted rate any day with the Museums for All initiative. Join us in 2016!

Discounted passes must be purchased on arrival at The Field Museum and are not available online in advance.

DISCOVERY PASS

Choose one ticketed exhibition or one 3D movie.

Blockbuster Passes (includes Terracotta Warriors): Adults: $17, Seniors and Students: $15, Children (3-11): $12

Non-Blockbuster Passes: Adults: $13, Seniors and Students: $11, Children (3-11): $9

 

ALL-ACCESS PASS

Best value! Complete access to The Field Museum, including ticketed exhibitions and one 3D movie.

Blockbuster Passes (includes Terracotta Warriors): Adults: $25, Seniors and Students: $21, Children (3-11): $18

Non-Blockbuster Passes: Adults: $20, Seniors and Students: $17, Children (3-11): $14

 

Please Note: Illinois based school groups, park districts, and youth groups must pre-register at least two weeks in advance of your field trip date to be allowed admittance to the Museum. Pre-registration is required on both discount days and non-discount days at the Museum.

As part of the Museums for All initiative, The Field Museum offers discounted admission to families that qualify for state food assistance. EBT (Link) and WIC cardholders receive $3 admission for up to six people. This rate applies every day the Museum is open, during normal operating hours. 

 

*Proof of residency can be established with a current Illinois driver's license. If you do not have an Illinois driver's license, you may establish residency by showing a valid photo ID along with one of the following:

  • Illinois lease
  • Illinois library card
  • Illinois student ID with photo
  • Illinois utility bill
  • Illinois work ID or check stub
  • Passport with Illinois address
