Explore evolution through the lens of citizen science! Participants will learn about the evolution of early land plants and will engage in the process of collecting and classifying bryophytes (microplants) with Museum scientist Laura Briscoe. Students will have the opportunity to become citizen scientists and contribute to an active research project at The Field Museum involving microplants.
Students will go behind-the-scenes of The Field Museum and "visit" to one of the Museum’s state-of-the-art laboratories. Students can see, hear, and interact with Field Museum staff and learn about current research at the Museum. NGSS aligned pre-and-post activities accompany each broadcast.
