About this event

Connect with women working in science across Chicago at this panel discussion and networking event.

A woman speaks to an audience in a room. She stands behind a podium with a sign that says “Field Museum Women in Science.” A picture of outer space is projected on a white screen behind her.

From out in the field to our exhibition halls, women make an impact on scientific discoveries, policies, and communication. Hear their stories and chart your own path to a career in science at this annual mixer.

Sponsored by the Field’s Women’s Board, this year’s event explores diverse careers in science. Enjoy a panel discussion, networking opportunities, and light refreshments. This year’s panel features:

  • Meleah Geertsma, Senior Attorney and the Midwest Director for Health Equity and Water at the Natural Resources Defense Council
  • Melanie Neumann, Global Food Safety Attorney and founder of Neumann Risk Services
  • Sushma Reddy, Breckenridge Chair of Ornithology at the Bell Museum
  • Marie Georg, Exhibition Developer at the Field Museum

This event is free and open to the public. Advance registration is required. Guests should enter through the East Entrance; doors open at 6pm. Paid parking is available at the Soldier Field North Garage.
