Cool Down Camp

About this recurring event

Stay cool with science this summer in a day camp just for preschoolers and their adult caregivers.

An educator holds an animal pelt up to a young visitor to touch. The visitor wears a blue costume dress and holds the end of the pelt for closer inspection.

Take a break from the heat by learning how different animals spend the winter. Where do they go when it snows? How do they prepare for the cold? Find out with our educators in this day camp for kids ages three to four and their adult caregivers. Through hands-on science and guided exploration in the museum, investigate concepts like hibernation and adaptation.

Each camp session runs from 9 to 11am, two days in a row. Basic admission is included with registration—start your day with camp and discover more of the Field Museum in the afternoon.
