In our one-week camp sessions, tween campers will explore our special exhibition Jurassic Oceans: Monsters of the Deep. They’ll explore the dinosaur halls, practice making scientific observations, and learn how we study animals from the past.
In the two-week camp, participants will get a look at what the scientists of the Field Museum collect and choose to exhibit. They'll learn from the professionals who make the collections into the dynamic displays and interactions you see in the Field’s halls. Using the skills developed in this camp, participants go on to design and create their own displays to be shown in a one-time-only exhibition
The grade band for each camp refers to the grade a camper will be entering in the fall. One- and two-week sessions run Monday–Friday, 9am–3pm. Aftercare is available until 5pm for an additional $125, and space is limited.
Scholarship applications have closed for 2022 summer camps.
