About this event

Join us in our historic Stanley Field Hall for the Museum’s first ever drag event!

To tell the history of the Field Museum we must go back further than the Columbian Exposition of 1893, we have to look at the land on which it sits, the people who populated it, the plants that gave it its lush landscape, the animals that roamed free and the foundation that held it all up. In First Queens of the Field, Chicago drag queens will compete to represent the four major areas of our collections—anthropology, botany, geology, and zoology—with the help of some special guests from our Science and Education departments.

The evening begins with Happy Hour at 5:30 pm, followed by the Drag Show at 6:30 pm. In addition to the show, your ticket includes one complimentary drink ticket, snacks, activities, and access to the Museum’s newest temporary exhibition, First Kings of Europe.
