Teen Studio

About this recurring event

Teens can get creative with video, music, photos, and more in this free club.

Two teenagers sit at a desk and work at a computer. Another teenager stands in the background, adjusting settings on a camera set atop a tripod.

Teen Studio is a club for media-minded teens to tell their stories inspired by nature and culture. They’ll learn how to create videos, podcasts, digital exhibitions, and other forms of digital media alongside Field Museum experts. Teen Studio is free for high school students in grades 9–12 interested in gaining experience with storytelling and media production and connecting with peers across Chicago.

Teen Studio hosts sessions throughout the year. Each session lasts four months and focuses on a different media project. Space is limited to 15 participants. Teens must apply in advance to participate in their desired session and can apply to more than one session a year.

This fall, join us for a session on podcasting. The session runs from November 2021–February. Applications open September 2021.
