Chicago Region Monitoring

There are many opportunities to monitor wildlife and plants in the Chicago Region.

Watch and record birds, frogs, insects and more by becoming a monitor with the Habitat Project.

Whether your interest is frogs, birds, insects, mammals, or plants the Habitat Project has collected species monitoring opportunities for you. Data from community science monitors is returned to local naturalists, scientists, and land managers to help understand the health of our native populations. Field Museum scientists participate in many of these monitoring programs through our Ecological Stewardship work.
