“You don’t look Chinese”

In summer 2010 the Chicago Cultural Alliance (CCA), with ECCo’s assistance, held a program that brought nearly 100 Chicago residents to The Field Museum to visit kip fulbeck: part asian, 100% hapa and then gather in the Maori House to reflect on their mixed identities and what it means to be multiracial and multiethnic in the world today. Six CCA members facilitated the dialogue sessions: the Indo-American Heritage Museum, Cambodian American Heritage Museum, American Indian Center, The Polish Museum of America, Chinese American Museum, and Swedish American Museum.
