Sponsorship

Sponsors of Field Museum special exhibitions receive unparalleled visibility, access, and opportunity to activate in-person with visitors.

The Field Museum presents world-class exhibitions and programs, drawing visitors from across the globe. Exhibition sponsorship offers our corporate partners the highest level of visibility and the closest public association with the Museum to our more than 1 million annual guests and the entire Chicagoland area.

As a sponsor, you will receive a customized benefits package that may include:

  • Recognition in the high-profile out-of-home advertising campaign and onsite signage
  • Recognition in promotional print and digital materials, such as invitations, newsletters, magazines, and webpages
  • Exclusive entertainment and hospitality, including exhibition tickets, invitations to the opening event, discounts on rental fees for hosting special events, and behind-the-scenes tours for guests and clients

Benefits and recognition are dependent on the exhibition and sponsorship level selected. For information on upcoming sponsorship opportunities, please contact the Corporate Giving team at partnerships@fieldmuseum.org.

Blood Drives with Abbott

Blood drives were held in Stanley Field Hall in partnership with Bloodsuckers Major Sponsor Abbott and their partner Versiti Blood Center of Illinois. Across 7 blood drives nearly 900 units of blood was collected, and press was generated for both the exhibition and Abbott’s mission to develop a new generation of blood donors. The events included prominent branded signage throughout the Museum, digital communications and social media promotion, with onsite activations including giveaways, performances, food trucks, and more!

Cat Cafés with World’s Best Cat Litter

During Cats: Predators to Pets cat engagement events titled Cat Cafés were hosted at the Field Museum with Exhibition Sponsor World’s Best Cat Litter® and local shelter partner Anti-Cruelty. The first Café welcomed more than 525 guests to engage with cats and kittens available for adoption at Anti-Cruelty. The next took place at an after-hours, adults-only event with a total attendance of 740 people. World’s Best was featured in digital communications, web events, and on site for product promotion and customer engagement in a prominent location near the exhibition entrance.

The Dead Bird Nerds with Arc’teryx Chicago

Arc’teryx Chicago provided corporate support of the Field Museum’s new specimen the Chicago Archaeopteryx. As part of the sponsorship, Arc’teryx had a prominent presence at key donor events, such as the exhibition opening, and hosted a lecture series at the Field Museum and local Arc’teryx stores. Arc’teryx also sponsored a companion piece to the new Archaeopteryx exhibition, titled The Dead Bird Nerds: an exhibit highlighting the science team responsible for preparing and researching the specimen, photographed out in the field.

CAPTURE Adventure with Rivian

Rivian’s partnership with the Field Museum began with the loan of a R1T all-electric pickup truck for fieldwork by the science team working on the CAPTURE Project. The Rivian R1T ended up going on numerous adventures, including round trip from Chicago to a fossil dig site in Montana! Rivian staff were on site for 6 test drive events, including at our extremely popular Members’ Nights in May 2024. This partnership was not only mutually beneficial but fun!
