Free Wednesdays
Free Day tickets are available for Illinois residents every Wednesday. Advance online reservations strongly recommended. Tickets are also available onsite subject to availability. Present your proof of Illinois residency alongside your mobile ticket for express admission into the Museum.
Community Discounts
These discounts are only available in person unless otherwise stated—ask about them when you arrive at the Field.
Museums for All
Families with valid EBT (Link) or WIC cards from any state are eligible for $3-per-person Basic admission for up to six people. Please show your valid EBT (Link) or WIC card when you purchase tickets at the museum. You cannot take advantage of this special offer when buying tickets online. Museums for All is made possible by Ford Motor Company.
Chicago Residents
Chicago residents can save on Basic admission and All-access tickets at the museum every day. Select the Chicago resident ticket options at checkout when purchasing tickets online and present ID or proof of residency when you arrive at the museum.
Military Discount
Basic admission is complimentary for active-duty military personnel, veterans, and IL State Gold Star ID cardholders. Additional discounts are available for up to 6 military family members. Please show your employee ID, military status ID, or Illinois State ID with Gold Star Family status when purchasing tickets at the Museum. You cannot take advantage of these special offers when buying tickets online.
Illinois Teachers
Basic admission is complimentary for Illinois teachers (pre-K through 12th grade). Please show your employee ID when purchasing tickets at the museum. You cannot take advantage of this special offer when buying tickets online.
ASTC Travel Passport Program
If you're a member of a science center or museum that participates in the ASTC Travel Passport Program, you can receive free Basic admission. Please show your science center or museum member ID when purchasing tickets at the museum. You cannot take advantage of this special offer when buying tickets online.
Chicago Public Library
Complimentary Basic admission is extended to all Chicago Public Library cardholders for 1 adult and 2 children. The offer is available once per year and requires advanced registration through the Explore More Illinois portal here.
Corporate Members
Employees of our current corporate supporters receive free basic admission for themselves and their guests (number of guests varies by level). Tickets are available onsite, or you can reserve them in advance with your Field Museum Corporate Member ID here. If you don't know your ID, please email partnerships@fieldmuseum.org.
