Pokémon Reveals New Merchandise for Upcoming Pokémon Fossil Museum Exhibition
Many Products Will Also Be Available Online at Pokémon Center in the U.S.
May 19, 2026 — Today, The Pokémon Company International shared a first look at new merchandise coming to the Pokémon Fossil Museum, opening on May 22, 2026, at the Field Museum in Chicago.
Trainers who have secured an exhibition ticket will be able to shop for Pokémon Fossil Museum merchandise at a dedicated retail experience located within the Field Museum Store, while supplies last and with purchase limits in effect.*
Inspired by the exhibition’s celebration of scientific discovery, the new merchandise lineup features Pokémon Fossil Museum artwork showcasing the adorable Excavator Pikachu, as well as Fossil Pokémon like Aerodactyl, Archeops, and Tyrantrum on key chains, tote bags, Pokémon TCG accessories, stickers, clothing, and more.
First announced last year, the Pokémon Fossil Museum is set to make its North American debut at the Field Museum on May 22, 2026, and will run through April 11, 2027, following its availability in Japan. Fans visiting the exhibition can expect to see Fossil Pokémon models like Tyrantrum and Archeops side by side with ancient lifeforms, including scientific casts of Field Museum dinosaurs like SUE the T. rex and the Chicago Archaeopteryx. Trainers of all ages are invited to visit and discover the incredible world of fossils, both in the Pokémon world and in the real world.
Many items from the lineup are also now available at Pokémon Center in the U.S., the premier online destination for official Pokémon products.
