<p>Field Explorers Day Off Camps are for children in grades 1-4, or equivalent. These new camps will be offered several times throughout the school year during typical school break periods.&nbsp;</p>

Lewis collection, new contemporary items, and various media from the Field's Papua New Guinea collection. At nearly 35,000 items, the Field Museum cares for the largest collection of material from the country of Papua New Guinea currently in the United States.</p>

Explore how to honor diverse beliefs and traditions in your classroom.

<p>Join us at the Field Museum on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 10am-2pm for a professional learning opportunity designed to engage educators in deep content learning with the Museum&rsquo;s collections, with particular emphasis on Ruatepupuke II, the Māori Meeting House.</p>
<p>This program will help educators explore how to approach teaching about diverse beliefs and traditions with care. As a case study, we will look at how to incorporate artifact inquiry when an artifact, like the Māori Meeting House, is not an object but an ancestor.</p>
<p>Participants will</p>
<ul>
<li>Understand: How to honor diverse beliefs by incorporating non-Western stories and traditions into instruction.</li>
<li>Do: Role-play responding to student and parent questions about cultures and religious traditions that might be different from their own.</li>
<li>Feel: Prepared to teach about diverse beliefs with care.Registration is open to formal and informal educators of all levels.</li>
</ul>
<p>Illinois Educators will earn 4 hours of Professional Development for attending this workshop.<br />Registration will remain open until Friday, December 5, 2025, or until full.</p>

Age Policy

<h3>Dozin' with the Dinos Age Policy</h3>

<p>Please carefully review our updated policy regarding age requirements for Dozin' with the Dinos attendees.</p>

<ul>
<li>Children under the age of 6 will not be admitted into a Dozin' with the Dinos event. Families and groups with children under the age of 6 may be asked to leave the event without a refund.</li>
<li>Adults may not attend Dozin' with the Dinos without a child between the ages of 6-12. If you attend the event and do not have children in your party, you will be asked to leave the event without a refund.</li>
