Gantz Family Collections History

In 2014, Museum Trustee and Board Chair (2018-2021) Bill Gantz, with his wife Linda and their children, made a leadership endowment gift to help sustain and strengthen our collections. The Board of Trustees named the Gantz Family Collections Center to recognize their foresight and passion for the Field and the City of Chicago. The Gantz Family is preserving a record of life on Earth and a legacy of human creativity that inspires inquiry among scholars, communities, the public, and future generations.
