Archaeopteryx is the oldest-known fossil bird and the earliest clue we have into understanding the evolution of birds. The Chicago Archaeopteryx specimen is pristinely preserved &mdash; which allowed Field Museum scientists to make groundbreaking discoveries about its biology.
