<p><span data-sheets-root="1">In order to ensure that groups have a great visit, pre-K through 5th-grade students must be accompanied by a minimum of one adult for every five students and a maximum of one adult for every child. Students in 6th through 12th grade must be accompanied by a minimum of one adult for every ten students and a maximum of one adult for every child.</span></p>

How many chaperones can my Illinois School Group bring?

<p>After you submit your registration form, you will receive an email with an invoice PDF. You can submit that payment amount by mailing a check before the trip or calling our office at (312) 665-7500 with a credit card.</p>

<p>Payment must be received 2 weeks prior to your trip date. If payment is not received 2 weeks prior to the field trip date, tickets will be released to the general public.</p>


How do I submit payment?

<p>Illinois groups registered at least 2 weeks in advance are allotted a discounted price of $7 per person to enter the &nbsp;Pok&eacute;mon Fossil Museum exhibition. Every person entering the exhibit will need a ticket.</p>

<p>Your group will still be able to enter all General Admission exhibits on your trip.Limited tickets are reserved for Illinois field trip groups each day.</p>


How much are tickets for the Pokémon Fossil Museum exhibition for Illinois field trip groups?

<p>Starting March 3, Illinois field trip groups may register using our <a href="https://www.fieldmuseum.org/page/register-your-field-trip-group">field trip registration form</a>. &nbsp;All field trips should be booked at least 2 weeks in advance. Limited tickets are reserved for Illinois field trip groups each day.&nbsp;</p>


How can my group register for a field trip to see the Pokémon Fossil Museum exhibition?

When will tickets be available for Illinois school groups?

<p>Unfortunately, there are no scholarships available for this special exhibition. All Illinois students, chaperones, and teachers on the field trip who are visiting the exhibit must pay $7 to enter. You can still book your <a href="https://www.fieldmuseum.org/landing/field-trips">General Admission field trip</a> for free, and visit the <em>Evolving Planet</em> exhibition to learn about fossils.</p>

This event celebrates the culmination of a three-year journey exploring Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) histories and stories through education, community partnerships, and museum learning. The event will feature a screening of <em>Making Waves: The Rise of Asian America</em>, a film by JJML Productions, followed by a panel discussion with educators and young advocates who helped champion the TEAACH Act in Illinois. Breakout sessions, cultural activation stations, and cultural performances to follow. <p>The Field Museum welcomes <a href="https://www.adlerplanetarium.org/explore/about-us/who-we-are/">Elizabeth Babcock, PhD</a>, who joined Museum Campus neighbor Adler Planetarium as President and CEO in 2025. &nbsp;Before joining the Adler, she served as the Founding Director of the Smithsonian American Women&rsquo;s History Museum in Washington, D.C., where she laid the groundwork for a new national museum focused on women&rsquo;s history, advanced a multimillion-dollar campaign, and expanded national support for the museum.</p>

We will also discuss the Foundation's <em>28-Day Plant-Based Kick Start</em>, and ways to implement the FEARLESS Wellness model into our own lives: Food, Exercise, Avoidance of toxins, Restorative sleep, Lessening stress, Engaging the mind, Social energy, and Spiritual connectivity.</p>

<p>The A. Watson Armour III Seminar Series is a weekly seminar highlighting the research of science professionals across a broad spectrum of scientific interests, disciplines, and lived experiences. This series connects the Field Museum&rsquo;s research, collections, conservation, and associated community with professionals at the forefront of life, geophysical, and social sciences. Lectures are open to the public and regularly highlight or complement research conducted by Field Museum staff and affiliates.</p>

<p dir="auto">Insects live in a world dominated by odors that are produced by food, potential mates, and would-be predators. An insect's antennae are key to making sense of this complexity, because they are sensitive to chemicals that distinguish friend from foe or food from toxin.</p>
<p dir="auto">Meet Postdoctoral Researcher Rowan French and investigate the biology and importance of chemical communication in shaping the lives and diversity of insects. See plant-feeding beetle specimens up-close, learn about some of the compounds beetles use to find their food plants or mates at the &ldquo;smell station&rdquo;, and discover how scientists take advantage of beetles' chemical sensitivities when designing traps for management, conservation, and research.</p>

<p>Scientists, researchers, and collections managers are behind the scenes every day, uncovering new information and taking care of our collection.</p>

<p>During Meet a Scientist, you can find them in the <em><a href="https://www.fieldmuseum.org/exhibition/halls-and-galleries/grainger-science-hub">Grainger&nbsp;Science Hub</a></em>. They'll discuss their work and share real items from the museum&rsquo;s collection of nearly 40 million objects. From collections care to field work, and dinosaurs to ecology, there&rsquo;s a world of science to explore.</p>

<h2>Keynote</h2>

<p>On May 21, 2025, the Women's Board of the Field Museum will welcome <span>Sera Young, PhD </span>as its annual Women in Science Luncheon speaker.</p>

<p>Dr. Young is a Professor of Anthropology and Global Health at Northwestern University, and she has dedicated her career to understanding how women work to preserve their health and that of their families. Her research focuses on maternal and child undernutrition in the first 1,000 days of life, particularly in low-resource settings.</p>

<p>Notably, Dr. Young led a large team in the development of the first globally equivalent way of measuring water access &ndash; the WISE (Water InSecurity Experiences) Scales. These scales have been used by 100+ organizations in 50+ countries to tackle some of the world&rsquo;s most pressing health challenges.</p>

<p>She has authored more than 170 peer-reviewed publications, and her work has been featured in The New York Times, BBC, and National Geographic. Recent accolades include the Margaret Mead Award for her book Craving Earth, an Andrew Carnegie Fellowship, and the Norman Kretchmer Memorial Award in Nutrition and Development.</p>
