Half-Earth Day convenes people from around the world and across disciplines to share their perspectives and provide thought leadership on how we can work together to safeguard biodiversity and ensure the health of our planet for future generations. Each year, Half-Earth Day brings together scientists, business executives, Indigenous and community leaders, educators, and conservation and multinational organizations to share their visions and voices for how we can save the biosphere.

Our theme this year—From Wisdom to Action: Mentorship as a Force for Biodiversity—will explore both what connects us and moves us across our common humanity on behalf of nature. Participants will hear speakers discuss how mentorship is a force in science, arts and culture, business, and environmental resource management and how, together, we are driving change to protect and conserve biodiversity.

The free, public program will include dynamic panel discussions, speed talks, and performances from leading individuals and groups from the Chicago area and around the world.
