    About this event

    Special Performances

Join us for Indigenous Peoples' Day as our guest performers share their indigenous pride through stories, song, and dance.

    •  10:00 am–10:30 pm Families with 2-6 year olds are invited to the Crown Family PlayLab for a free, drop-in music and movement demonstration. Huehuecoyotl performers will visit the PlayLab before their museumwide presentation to meet with guests, discuss their regalia, chat about celebration days, and even teach a few dance steps.
    • 11:00 pm–12:00 pm Danza Azteca - Nahui Ollin Huehuecoyotl is an ancient tradition, a prayer in motion, which helps people live a more balanced life - physically, mentally and emotionally. Danza Azteca is the cultural inheritance of the descendants of Mesoamerica’s first peoples, which they continue to teach today.
