About this event
Step into a world reborn. After the Age of Dinosaurs, opening August 29, 2025, explores the fascinating story of life after the extinction of the dinosaurs, when enormous snakes, tiny horses, towering penguins, and strange primates ruled a tropical Earth. Discover how surviving species reshaped the planet in surprising and sometimes alien ways. This immersive experience reveals a chapter in Earth’s history that you never knew you were missing.
Created by the Field Museum, this exhibition transports you to the Paleocene and early Eocene epochs of Earth’s history, millions of years often left out of the story of life on Earth. From the catastrophic asteroid impact to the rise of lush rainforests and the dramatic diversification of mammals, explore how evolution surged forward after mass extinction. Through fossils, immersive media, sensory environments, and cutting-edge science, you’ll discover the strange yet familiar creatures that once thrived in Earth’s hottest climate—and how their world shaped the one we live in today.
