    Native American Communities Discussion

    About this event series

The past decade has seen Native American communities experience unprecedented authority in exhibit content, collection care, and research output. Such changes are paving the way for continued relationship building.

This talk presents recent case studies from the Field Museum that illustrate examples of Native-museum collaboration, community-serving archaeology, and new ethical protocols. Altogether, these examples demonstrate a few small steps towards revitalizing collaborative and restorative work.
