Join us at 10:30 a.m. for a storytime reading and show-and-tell session with Associate Curator of Herpetology Sara Ruane, as we learn about reptiles and celebrate how women are changing the face of science! Come celebrate the magic of storytelling, our natural world, and the last call for Reptiles Alive!

PlayLab PlayDate: Sara Ruane- The Woman Who Loved Reptiles

Families with children ages 2-6 are invited to a free, drop-in reptile-themed Open Studio! Get up close with unique specimens and create a special reptile craft before the Reptiles Alive! exhibition slithers away on April 5, 2026.
Stop by the Discovery Play Studio in the Crown Family PlayLab anytime between 10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. to join the fun!

PlayLab PlayDate: Reptiles Open Studio

The Crown Family PlayLab offers PlayLab PlayDates on select Wednesdays and Saturdays. PlayLab PlayDates are drop-in activities that are free to museum guests with children ages 2-6, featuring storytime sessions, music, crafts, science experiments and more.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Pre-registration is not reguired! Sessions take place in the <a href="https://www.fieldmuseum.org/exhibition/halls-and-galleries/crown-family-playlab">Crown Family PlayLab</a>.&nbsp;
Program length varies, usually from 20 minutes to 1 hour.
