World Angklung Day at the Field Museum

Celebrate World Angklung Day 2025 at the Field Museum with a special performance by Manshur Angklung from Indonesia, presented in collaboration with the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Chicago and Indonesia Lighthouse.

The Angklung, Indonesia’s bamboo instrument, acknowledged by UNESCO on November 16, 2010, represents harmony, unity, and shared cultural heritage. This year marks 15 years (2010–2025) of its inscription as a living tradition.
